Victron Energy Quattro 12/5000/220-100/100 120V (QUA125021100): a pure sine wave inverter, battery charger and dual-input automatic transfer switch in one unit. Run 120V AC loads from your 12V battery bank with 5000 VA / 4000 W of continuous pure sine wave power and 10,000 W peak. Two AC inputs, each with a 100 A transfer switch, let you connect shore power and a generator at the same time, and the Quattro switches to the active source automatically. Whenever AC is available, the 220 A charger refills your batteries; if the AC source drops out, the no-break output keeps computers and electronics running. PowerControl, PowerAssist and Victron GX/ESS compatibility make it a go-to for larger RV, marine, off-grid and home backup systems. Backed by Victron's 5-year limited warranty.
Ratings at 25°C (77°F) ambient, from Victron's datasheet. Output drops at higher temperatures, see the table below.
⚡ Is It Right for Your System?
Built for 12V battery banks powering standard 120V 60 Hz North American AC loads from two AC sources. Common uses:
- Large RVs & motorhomes
- Yachts & workboats
- Off-grid homes & cabins
- Home backup with generator
- Commercial & remote sites
- Your battery bank is 12V (inverter input range 9.5–17 V). Victron recommends at least 800 Ah (800–2400 Ah).
- You need 120V single-phase output. Need 240V? Two identical units can be set up for 120/240V split phase, or look at the Quattro-II 2x120V in the table below.
- Your AC loads stay within 4000 W continuous at 25°C, with short surges up to 10,000 W.
- Each AC input carries up to 100 A. PowerControl lets you set a lower limit for a small generator or shore pedestal.
- Plan for battery cables, a DC fuse and AC wiring sized per Victron's manual (not included).
- Need UL for an RV, inspection or permit? This version isn't UL listed. See the UL models in the table below.
Why Choose a Victron Quattro
Two AC Inputs
Connect shore power and a generator, or two generators. The Quattro picks the live source automatically, with AC-in-1 taking priority.
Two 100 A Transfer Switches
Each input passes up to 100 A through to your loads, so a large AC panel keeps running on shore or generator power.
PowerControl & PowerAssist
Set a separate current limit for each input. When loads spike past it, the Quattro adds battery power so the breaker doesn't trip.
No-Break Output
If the AC source fails, the main output switches to inverter power fast enough that computers keep running. A second output powers loads only while AC is present.
Expandable
Two identical units give 120/240V split phase, three give three-phase, and up to 6 can run in parallel per Victron's manual.
5-Year Victron Warranty
Victron covers the Quattro for 5 years from purchase by the original end user, and warranty claims go through us.

🔋 Charging Your Batteries
Lithium or Lead-Acid
Adaptive 4-stage charging with default voltages of 14.4 V / 13.8 V / 13.2 V (absorption / float / storage). Adjust them with VEConfigure or VictronConnect, or let a GX device and your lithium BMS control charging.
From Either AC Input
Charges from whichever AC input is live, shore or generator, and PowerControl keeps it within your source's limit.
Starter Battery Output
A separate 4 A output keeps an engine or starter battery charged.
Temperature Compensation
A battery temperature sensor adjusts charging for hot and cold conditions. The sensor comes with the unit.
