The Victron Energy MultiPlus-II 12/4k/160 160-50 120V is a multifunctional inverter/charger with two AC outputs. It suits professional marine, yachting, vehicle and land-based off-grid systems, and it provides the isolation and redundancy required for Energy Storage System (ESS) setups. A smart adaptive charging algorithm combines speed with efficiency and helps extend battery life.

PowerControl and PowerAssist

PowerControl prevents grid or generator overload. PowerAssist protects a limited AC source, such as a generator or shore power connection, in two levels. First, battery charging is automatically reduced when an overload would otherwise occur. Second, the unit boosts the output of the generator or shore supply with power taken from the battery.

Uninterrupted AC Power (UPS Function)

If grid power fails, or shore or generator power is disconnected, the inverter automatically takes over supply to the connected loads. The transfer takes less than 20 milliseconds, so computers and other electronic equipment keep operating without disruption.

Energy Storage System (ESS) Ready

The MultiPlus-II is a key component in a Victron Energy Storage System. The Dynamic ESS feature automatically switches between, or combines, grid, battery and solar energy based on live pricing, predicted energy use and solar yield, so the system consumes the cheapest energy available.

Remote Monitoring and Control

With a GX device, such as the Cerbo GX, you can monitor and control your system locally (LAN) or remotely over the internet using the free VRM app and the free VRM portal website. Access it from a phone, tablet, laptop or PC. Control options range from adjusting the inverter/charger settings to automatically starting a backup generator.
