  • Your system is 12V. For the Lion Safari and other 24V systems, you'll want the 24V version of this panel instead.
  • Your solar input or charge controller accepts at least 20.52V open-circuit voltage and 6.14A short-circuit current per panel.
  • If you're linking panels, your controller's max solar wattage covers all of them (4 panels = 400W).
  • Only link panels of the same voltage and model.

Can I plug it straight into a battery?
Not directly. To charge a battery like the Lion UT 1300 or another 12V battery bank, connect the panel through a solar charge controller. Lion power stations like the Summit have solar input built in, so you can plug the panel straight in.
Will it work with the Lion Safari?
No. The Safari uses 24V panels. This is the 12V version. Look for the Lion 100W LW 24V panel instead, and don't mix 12V and 24V panels.
How many panels can I link together?
Up to four, for up to 400W of combined input. Use only panels of the same voltage and model, and make sure your power station or charge controller can handle the total.
Can I mount it permanently?
Yes. Lion Energy notes it can go on a roof, shed, RV or camper van. Use mounting hardware suited to the surface. It also works on the ground with its adjustable legs.
How long will it last?
Lion Energy rates it for 20 years of solar output, and it comes with a 5-year warranty.
Is this the same as Lion's glass 100W panel?
No. This is the LW (Light Weight) version at 8.5 lb. Lion also makes a heavier glass 100W 12V panel, which is a different product.
What if my power station is far from the sun?
Lion's 25' Solar Extension Cable (sold separately) gives you extra reach so the panel can sit in full sun while your power unit stays in the shade.
