Epoch Dual-Output 12V/36V Marine DC-DC Charger: top up your electronics battery and your 36V trolling-motor battery while the engine runs. It draws from a 12V or 24V starter-battery system and charges two separate batteries through independent outputs: 12V at 10A and 36V at 10A. It starts when the engine raises the starter voltage and stops when it drops, so it won't drain your starting battery while you fish.

🔍 Will It Work on My Boat?

  • Bass boats
  • Tournament fishing
  • 12V starter systems
  • 24V starter systems
📏 Quick check before you order:
  • Your starter system is 12V or 24V. A 36V battery can't be used as the input.
  • You have a separate 12V electronics or house battery. Don't connect the 12V output back to the starter battery.
  • Your outboard's alternator has spare capacity after your boat's other loads. Both outputs together draw a lot from a 12V system.
  • It's non-isolated: follow Epoch's wiring diagram exactly, with proper fusing and grounding.
Not sure your alternator can handle it? Send us your outboard model and we'll check.

Why This Charger

🎣

More Time on the Water

Adds charge to both auxiliary batteries every time you run between spots.

🧠

Automatic Operation

On a 12V source it starts above 13.8V and stops below 13.0V; on 24V, above 26.8V and below 25.2V.

🔧

Any Battery Type

Each output can be set to LiFePO4, AGM or lead-acid.

⚡

BMS Wake-Up

Wakes a compatible lithium battery that's gone into low-voltage protection.

💧

Marine-Tough

Epoxy-filled IP67 enclosure with aluminum cooling and a waterproof fan.

🛡️

Built-In Protection

Short-circuit, reverse-connection, overcharge and overtemperature protection.

📦 What's in the Box

  • 🔌1 × Epoch dual-output DC-DC chargerModel CHG-DC-12V36V
  • 🔴Pre-wired leadsInput, 12V output and 36V output, with ring terminals
Not included: batteries, DC fuses, disconnects, extra cable and M6 mounting screws. A DC-DC charger adds charge on the run but doesn't replace a full AC charge at the dock, so pair it with an onboard AC charger.

❓ Common Questions

Will it drain my starting battery?
It's designed not to. Charging stops when the starter voltage falls below the cutoff, and it hibernates after about 20 idle minutes. A healthy starting battery and properly sized alternator are still required.
Does it replace my onboard AC charger?
No. It adds charge while you run, but a full recharge and balancing still happen at the dock with an AC charger.
Can the 36V output charge three 12V batteries in series?
Epoch publishes the 36V output for one compatible 36V battery. For a three-battery series string, follow your battery maker's balancing instructions.
Is it isolated?
No. It's non-isolated, so wire it exactly to Epoch's diagram, with proper fusing and a planned common ground.
