Dometic CFX5 55IM 55L Electric Cooler with Ice Maker – Black

The Dometic CFX5 55IM is a premium 55L electric cooler, portable refrigerator/freezer and ice maker designed for camping, RV travel, overlanding, boating, road trips and off-grid adventures. With room for up to 84 12 oz cans, powerful compressor refrigeration and a temperature range from -7°F to 68°F (-22°C to 20°C), the CFX5 55IM keeps food and drinks cold or frozen without requiring bags of ice.

Built-in ice-making capability adds extra convenience on the road, while Bluetooth smartphone connectivity provides remote temperature monitoring, energy-use information, alerts and operating history. Flexible 12/24V DC and 100-240V AC power makes the CFX5 55IM suitable for vehicles, RVs, campsites and off-grid power systems.

55L portable refrigerator and freezer

The spacious 55-liter capacity holds up to 84 standard 12 oz cans, providing plenty of storage for weekend camping trips, family adventures and extended travel. The removable wire divider helps organize food and beverages, while an interior light improves visibility after dark.

Built-in ice maker

The CFX5 55IM combines ice-free refrigeration with convenient ice-making capability. You can keep the main compartment cold without filling valuable storage space with loose ice while still having freshly made ice available when needed.

Powerful compressor cooling down to -7°F

Advanced compressor refrigeration provides a wide adjustable temperature range from -7°F to 68°F. The extended evaporator along the interior walls helps distribute cold temperatures evenly throughout the cooler for dependable refrigeration and freezing performance.

With a rated input power of just 55W, the CFX5 55IM delivers powerful portable cooling while using less power than many common household light bulbs.

Bluetooth smartphone monitoring

Built-in Bluetooth connectivity lets you monitor and manage the cooler using a compatible smartphone app. Track temperature and energy consumption, review operating history, receive alerts when the lid is left open and connect to multiple compatible devices.

12V, 24V and AC power options

The CFX5 55IM offers flexible power options for travel and off-grid use. It operates from 12V or 24V DC vehicle power and 100-240V AC power. It can also be incorporated into compatible Dometic battery and solar setups for off-grid adventures.

3-stage vehicle battery protection

A built-in 3-stage dynamic battery protection system monitors incoming power and helps prevent the cooler from excessively discharging a vehicle's starter battery. The system also provides flexibility for installations using dedicated or dual-battery power systems.

Vacuum insulated construction

Vacuum Insulated Panels help reduce heat transfer and improve cooling efficiency. TPE lid gaskets create a tight seal, while the optimized relationship between exterior size and usable interior space helps maximize compressor efficiency.

Built for camping, RV and overland travel

The CFX5 55IM combines durable construction with practical travel features including self-folding aluminum alloy handles, a removable textured nonslip lid, integrated bottle opener, interior light and removable wire storage divider.
