The Davis Instruments Vantage Pro2 Wireless Weather Station 6252 is a professional-quality weather monitoring system designed to deliver accurate, reliable hyperlocal weather information for homes, farms, homesteads, agriculture, schools and serious weather enthusiasts. This complete system includes the WeatherLink Console, outdoor temperature and humidity sensors with a passive radiation shield, anemometer and rainfall sensor.
With weather updates as frequently as every 2.5 seconds and an industry-leading wireless transmission range of up to 1,000 ft. (300 m), the Vantage Pro2 provides detailed real-time information about changing local weather conditions.
The Vantage Pro2 outdoor sensor suite measures the essential conditions needed for comprehensive local weather monitoring, including outside temperature, humidity, wind speed, wind direction and rainfall.
Weather information is transmitted wirelessly from the outdoor sensor suite to the included WeatherLink Console, where users can view current conditions, historical records, graphs and customizable weather alerts.
Weather conditions can change rapidly, particularly wind and rainfall. The Vantage Pro2 provides real-time weather updates as frequently as every 2.5 seconds, helping users monitor changing conditions with greater detail than systems with longer update intervals.
The Vantage Pro2 provides a wireless transmission range of up to 1,000 ft. / 300 m between the outdoor sensor suite and console. The extended range provides installation flexibility for larger residential properties, farms, homesteads and other locations where the outdoor sensors may need to be positioned a significant distance from the console.
The included WeatherLink Console features a vibrant HD color touchscreen for viewing and analyzing hyperlocal weather data. Its customizable dashboard can display up to 21 weather parameters, allowing users to prioritize the measurements that matter most.
A complete database of historical records is stored directly on the console, allowing users to create custom graphs and analyze weather patterns and trends over time.
The WeatherLink Console functions as a complete weather display, storage and analysis system without requiring an internet connection. When connected to Wi-Fi, the console can also upload compatible weather information to the WeatherLink Cloud for additional access and sharing capabilities.
Users can select from hundreds of parameters and multiple notification sounds to create alerts for environmental changes that are important to them. This makes it easier to monitor specific local conditions for agriculture, gardening, property management or general weather observation.
The outdoor temperature and humidity sensors are protected by a standard passive radiation shield. The shield helps protect the sensors from direct solar radiation and radiant or reflected heat sources that could otherwise affect ambient-air temperature measurements.
Its multi-plate design promotes natural airflow around the sensors while providing protection from solar heating, making it an effective passive solution for outdoor temperature monitoring.
The included anemometer measures wind speed and wind direction. For improved installation flexibility, the anemometer can be mounted up to 40 ft. / 12 m away from the remainder of the sensor suite, allowing it to be positioned in a location with fewer wind obstructions.
The integrated rainfall sensor provides local precipitation measurements, allowing users to track rain events alongside temperature, humidity and wind conditions. This can be particularly valuable for farms, gardens, irrigation management and general property monitoring.
The outdoor sensor suite is solar powered with battery backup, providing dependable continuous weather monitoring while minimizing external power requirements. Rugged, weather-resistant housing protects the outdoor components during long-term installation.
The WeatherLink Console is AC powered with battery backup.
