Allied RS 48V 168Ah Rectangle LiFePO4 golf cart battery kit: 8.06 kWh in one 165 lb IP67 steel-cased battery, with 180A continuous output, a relay BMS, remote power button and Bluetooth monitoring. The kit includes Allied's 48V 15A waterproof lithium charger, a charging harness for your cart, mounting brackets, a hardware pack and 4-gauge cables. It replaces a 48V lead-acid set with a single battery you don't water or clean. The RS series is Allied's newest design: a relay BMS with a 2A active balancer that works while you drive and charge, a remote power button, sleep mode and a fire arrestor. The Allied Battery app shows pack and cell voltages, current draw, cell temperature and remaining run and charge time. Backed by Allied's 10-year warranty.

πŸ›Ί Will It Fit My Cart?

Built for 48V golf carts and utility vehicles. Common uses:

  • Lifted 48V carts
  • 4–6 passenger carts
  • Hilly or rough terrain
  • Long, narrow battery bays
  • 48V lead-acid replacements
πŸ“ Quick check before you order:
  • Your cart runs on 48V (51.2V nominal). Allied makes separate batteries for 36V, 48V and 72V carts.
  • Your battery bay fits 28.7 Γ— 12.6 Γ— 10.7 in (L Γ— W Γ— H), plus room for cables. The battery weighs 165 lb.
  • Allied makes the 168Ah in two shapes. Measure your bay: the Square version is 18.2 Γ— 17.9 Γ— 10.5 in.
  • Choose your charging harness above to match your cart: Club Car, EZGO, Yamaha or universal snap.
  • You'll charge with the kit's Allied 48V 15A charger. Allied's warranty doesn't cover batteries charged on other chargers, and lead-acid chargers can't be used.
  • Your controller's draw stays within 180A continuous. Allied rates peaks at 500A (10 sec) / 1,000A (under 1.2 sec).
  • Your 12V lights or accessories need a 12V converter once the lead-acid set is gone. Some older Club Car models also need an OBC bypass.
  • It has no heater. Allied rates charging from 32 to 131Β°F.
Not sure? Send us your cart's make, model and year and we'll confirm the fit before you buy.

Why Cart Owners Make the Switch

βš–οΈ

One Battery, Far Less Weight

A single 165 lb battery in place of a full lead-acid set, so the cart carries less dead weight.

⚑

Steady Power

180A continuous, with peak ratings of 500A (10 sec) / 1,000A (under 1.2 sec). LiFePO4 holds its voltage instead of fading as the charge drops.

🧠

Relay BMS + Active Balancing

Allied's relay BMS with a 2A active balancer keeps cells matched while you drive and charge, and protects against short circuit, over-current, over- and under-voltage and temperature extremes.

πŸ“±

Bluetooth Monitoring

The Allied Battery app shows pack and individual cell voltages, current draw, cell temperature, remaining run and charge time, and lifetime cycles.

πŸ”˜

Remote Power Button

Turn the battery on and off with Allied's remote power button, and sleep mode keeps self-discharge to 1–3% a month in storage.

πŸ”©

Built Tough

A thick steel case rated IP67, M8 terminals and a built-in fire arrestor.

❓ Common Questions

What does RS mean?
RS is Allied's newest series: a relay BMS with a 2A active balancer, a remote power button, sleep mode, CAN bus and RS485, and Allied's 10-year RS warranty.
105Ah or 168Ah?
Allied's sizing guide steps up capacity for lifted carts, 4–6 passenger carts, bigger controllers and hilly or rough terrain. The 105Ah suits many standard carts. Tell us how you use your cart and we'll help you choose.
Square or Rectangle: which do I need?
Both store 8.06 kWh. The Square measures 18.2 Γ— 17.9 Γ— 10.5 in (152 lb, 200A continuous). The Rectangle measures 28.7 Γ— 12.6 Γ— 10.7 in (165 lb, 180A continuous). Measure your battery bay, or send us your cart's make, model and year.
Is a charger included?
Yes. The kit includes Allied's 48V 15A waterproof lithium charger, a charging harness for your cart, mounting brackets, a hardware pack, 4-gauge cables and a CAN bus and RS485 harness.
Which charging harness will I get?
The one you choose in the Charging Harness option above. For 48V carts Allied offers Club Car, EZGO, Yamaha or universal snap harnesses. Not sure which fits? Call us. The universal snap harness pairs with a 110V onboard charging plug, available as an add-on.
Can I keep using my old lead-acid charger?
No. Lead-acid chargers don't charge LiFePO4 correctly, and Allied's warranty doesn't cover batteries charged on non-Allied chargers.
Can I connect two batteries?
Up to 2 in parallel for more capacity. Never wire Allied batteries in series.
How do I power 12V lights and accessories?
Add Allied's 48V-to-12V converter (30A max), available as an add-on. With the lead-acid set gone, there's no single 12V battery to tap.
Can I charge it in cold weather?
Allied rates charging from 32 to 131Β°F, and the battery has no heater. Let it warm above freezing before charging.
How do I store it over the off-season?
Charge it fully, never let it sit below 30%, and top it off at least every 3 months. Allied's warranty requires regular full charges.
How do I register the warranty?
Register with Allied within 60 days of purchase, or coverage is limited to 1 year. We're happy to help.
