Victron Energy Phoenix Inverter 12/1200 120V VE.Direct GFCI (PIN122122510): a compact pure sine wave inverter with a GFCI outlet and UL 458 listing. Run 120V AC loads from your 12V battery bank with 1200 VA / 1000 W of continuous pure sine wave power and 2200 W peak for motor starts. The duplex GFCI outlet adds ground-fault protection, and GFCI models are UL 458 listed per Victron. ECO mode cuts standby draw to about 1 W, and adjustable low-battery shutdown protects your battery. Connect the VE.Direct port to a Bluetooth dongle, a GX device or a remote panel to set it up and monitor it. Backed by Victron's 5-year limited warranty.

1200 VA1000 W continuous

Ratings at 25Β°C (77Β°F) ambient, from Victron's datasheet. Output drops at higher temperatures, see the table below.

⚑ Is It Right for Your System?

Built for 12V battery banks running standard 120V North American plug-in loads. Common uses:

  • Vans & RVs
  • Boats & sailboats
  • Work trucks & service bodies
  • Cabins & small off-grid setups
  • Golf carts & utility vehicles
πŸ“ Quick check before you order:
  • Your battery bank is 12V (inverter input range 9.2–17 V). Victron recommends at least 150 Ah.
  • Your AC loads stay within 1000 W continuous at 25Β°C, with short surges up to 2200 W.
  • You'll plug loads into the GFCI duplex outlet. For hardwired AC panels, look at the Phoenix 3000 VE.Bus models in the table below.
  • This is an inverter only. It doesn't charge batteries or switch to shore power. For that, see our Victron MultiPlus inverter/chargers.
  • Plan for battery cables and a DC fuse sized per Victron's manual (not included).
  • Need UL for an RV, inspection or permit? This GFCI model is UL 458 listed.

Why Choose a Victron Phoenix VE.Direct Inverter

〰️

Pure Sine Wave Output

Clean 120V power for electronics, chargers, fridges and tools, with high start-up power for motor loads.

πŸŒ™

ECO Mode

With the switch on ECO, the inverter sleeps and checks for a load every few seconds, cutting standby draw to about 1 W. Wake-up load and interval are adjustable.

πŸ”‹

Battery Protection

Low-battery shutdown at 9.3 V and restart at 10.9 V by default, all adjustable in VictronConnect.

βœ…

GFCI & UL 458

The duplex GFCI outlet trips on ground faults, and GFCI models are UL 458 listed per Victron's datasheet.

πŸ“±

VE.Direct Connectivity

Add a VE.Direct Bluetooth Smart dongle for the VictronConnect app, or connect a Cerbo GX for remote monitoring on Victron's VRM portal.

πŸ›‘οΈ

5-Year Victron Warranty

Victron covers it for 5 years from purchase by the original end user, and warranty claims go through us.

❓ Common Questions

Does it have Bluetooth?
Not built in. Add Victron's VE.Direct Bluetooth Smart dongle to use the free VictronConnect app on your phone, or a VE.Direct-USB cable for a computer.
What does ECO mode do?
On ECO, the inverter switches off its output and checks for a load every few seconds. When you switch something on, it wakes up. Standby draw drops from about 10 W to about 1 W. Very small loads may not wake it, so the wake-up level is adjustable.
Will it start my fridge, pump or power tool?
Motors pull a short surge when they start. This model handles 1000 W continuous and up to 2200 W peak. Send us the appliance labels and we'll confirm.
Does it charge my batteries?
No, it's an inverter only. To charge from shore power or a generator and switch over automatically, look at our Victron MultiPlus inverter/chargers.
Is it UL listed?
Yes. Victron's datasheet lists UL 458 for the GFCI-outlet models, and Victron's UL 458 certificate (LabTest LC20760-1) is linked in the downloads above.
What's the difference between the GFCI and NEMA 5-15R versions?
The GFCI version has a duplex ground-fault outlet and carries UL 458. The NEMA 5-15R version has a single standard outlet and isn't UL listed. Power and features are otherwise the same.
What size cables and fuse do I need?
For this model, Victron's manual calls for 25 mmΒ² (about 4 AWG) up to 1.5 m, 35 mmΒ² (about 2 AWG) for 1.5–3 m. The internal 200 A fuse is user replaceable, and Victron recommends a battery of at least 150 Ah. Ask us and we'll spec your wiring.
How does the warranty work?
Victron covers it for 5 years from the original end user's purchase date. Warranty claims go through the place of purchase, so contact us and we'll handle it with Victron.
