📏 Quick check before you order:
  • Your cart runs on 48V. This kit is not for 36V carts.
  • Your battery bay fits 19.84" L × 15.35" W × 9.84" H (504 × 390 × 250 mm), plus room for terminals and cables. This is a larger box than Epoch's 105Ah kits. The battery weighs 135 lb (61 kg) and mounts upright.
  • Have a Club Car DS or a small bay? Epoch's DS kit is the 48V 105Ah MINI (15.8" × 11.1" × 10.9"). Measure before choosing this one.
  • Your controller's draw stays within 300A continuous (500A for 15 sec, 1,000A for 2 sec).
  • Club Car carts with an older On-Board Computer (OBC) may need an OBC bypass for the included charger.
  • Your 12V accessories (lights, radio, USB) total 25A or less on the included converter.
  • The 6 ft switch harness reaches the dash on most carts. Stretched carts may need the 13 ft harness (sold separately).

Which version should I pick?
Pick EZGO TXT if you have a 48V EZGO TXT. Pick Other for other compatible 48V carts. The difference is the charge port plug and mounting brackets. Because this battery is larger than most, measure your bay first. Not sure? Send us your cart's make, model, year and bay measurements.
How does this compare to the Epoch 48V 105Ah kits?
The 150Ah stores 7.68kWh, about 43% more than the 5.38kWh in the 105Ah and 105Ah MINI kits. Epoch estimates 35 to 45+ miles for the 105Ah kits on many standard carts but doesn't publish a mileage figure for the 150Ah, so expect more range under the same conditions without a set number. It's bigger and heavier: 19.84" × 15.35" × 9.84" and 135 lb, versus 18.1" × 13.4" × 9.8" for the 105Ah standard and 15.8" × 11.1" × 10.9" for the MINI, both 99 lb. It's also rated higher: 300A continuous versus 200A, a 22A charger versus 15A, and 4,000+ cycles versus 3,500+.
Will it fit a Club Car DS?
Epoch's kit for the Club Car DS is the 48V 105Ah MINI. This 150Ah battery is 19.84" × 15.35", so check your bay carefully before choosing it for any smaller cart.
Can I keep using my old lead-acid charger?
No, unless it's confirmed for LiFePO4. Lead-acid chargers won't charge or balance this battery properly, and equalization, desulfation or repair modes must not be used. Use the included 48V 22A lithium charger.
How far will I go on a charge?
Epoch doesn't give a mileage estimate for this kit. Range depends on terrain, passengers, tire size, lift kits, controller tuning, motor condition, speed and accessories. The gauge and app make it easy to see how much you use on a typical day.
Will it work with an upgraded motor or controller?
Yes, as long as the controller's draw stays within 300A continuous, 500A for 15 seconds and 1,000A for 2 seconds. Check the controller's continuous and peak settings, especially on tuned units.
Can I install it myself?
Epoch specifies installation by an authorized mechanic or technician. You'll replace the factory charge receptacle with the included plug and add a main fuse or DC-rated breaker (not included). Call us if you have questions about your cart.
Will my 12V lights and radio still work?
Yes. The included fused 25A 48V-to-12V converter powers them and turns on with the key. Keep your total 12V load within 25A.
Can I charge it in the winter?
Not below freezing. Charging is rated 0°C to 55°C (32°F to 131°F), and there's no internal heater. Let the battery warm above freezing before plugging in. Driving is rated down to -10°C (14°F).
The battery shut off on its own. What happened?
To protect itself, the battery powers down after 7 days without use above 20% charge, or 24 hours at or below 20%. Press the on/off switch twice to wake it.
How should I store it over the off-season?
Charge to 60–90%, turn the battery off, store it dry between 50°F and 95°F where practical, and check the charge at least every 3 months.
Can I add a second battery for more range?
Yes. Up to two matched batteries in parallel (300Ah), same model and age, each fully charged before connecting, with identical cables. Series connection isn't supported.
