Swap a heavy 48V lead-acid set for one sealed lithium battery. The Epoch 48V 105Ah LiFePO4 Golf Cart Kit replaces the lead-acid pack in a full-size 48V cart with a single 99 lb battery storing 5.38kWh. The kit comes with a 48V 15A lithium charger, a Bluetooth dash gauge, a fused 48V-to-12V converter and the charge port plug and mounting brackets for your cart, in Club Car Precedent, EZGO RXV, EZGO TXT, Yamaha 2007–2010, Yamaha 2011+ or Other versions.

Your cart runs on 48V. This kit is not for 36V carts.
Your battery bay fits 18.1" L × 13.4" W × 9.8" H (460 × 340 × 250 mm), plus room for cables. The battery weighs 99 lb (45 kg).
Have a Club Car DS? Epoch says to use the 48V 105Ah MINI kit instead (15.8" × 11.1" × 10.9").
Your controller's draw stays within 200A continuous (300A for 15 sec, 700A for 2 sec).
Your 12V accessories (lights, radio, USB) total 25A or less on the included converter.
Club Car carts with an older On-Board Computer (OBC) may need an OBC bypass.
The 6 ft switch harness suits standard 2-passenger and many 4-passenger carts. Stretched or 6-passenger carts may need the 13 ft harness (sold separately).

Sold separately: Main fuse or DC-rated breaker for the battery cables. Epoch says to install one as close as practical to the battery's positive terminal, sized for the system voltage and the 200A continuous rating. The 13 ft switch harness for stretched carts and any OBC bypass are also sold separately.

Which version should I pick?

Pick the version that matches your cart: Club Car Precedent (also Onward full-size), EZGO RXV, EZGO TXT, Yamaha 2007–2010 or Yamaha 2011+. Pick Other for ICON, Bintelli, Evolution, Kandi, Epic and other 48V carts. The difference is the charge port plug and mounting brackets. Not sure? Send us your cart's make, model and year.

How is this different from the Epoch 48V 105Ah MINI?

Same battery chemistry, 105Ah / 5.38kWh capacity, 200A rating, 99 lb weight and kit contents. The difference is the shape. This standard kit measures 18.1" × 13.4" × 9.8" and is sized for full-size bays like the Club Car Precedent, EZGO and Yamaha. The MINI measures 15.8" × 11.1" × 10.9", a shorter, narrower but slightly taller box, and it's the one Epoch specifies for the Club Car DS.

Can I keep using my old lead-acid charger?

No. Lead-acid chargers aren't suitable, and equalization, desulfation or repair modes can damage a LiFePO4 battery. Use the included 48V 15A lithium charger.

How far will I go on a charge?

Epoch estimates about 35 to 45+ miles for many standard 48V carts. Hills, passengers, larger tires, lift kits, controller settings and accessories will lower that.

Will it work with an upgraded motor or controller?

Yes, as long as the controller's draw stays within 200A continuous, 300A for 15 seconds and 700A for 2 seconds. Check the controller's continuous and peak settings, especially on tuned units.

Can I install it myself?

Epoch specifies installation by an authorized mechanic or qualified technician. You'll replace the factory charge receptacle with the included plug and add a main fuse or DC-rated breaker (not included). Call us if you have questions about your cart.

Will my 12V lights and radio still work?

Yes. The included fused 25A 48V-to-12V converter powers them and turns on with the key. Keep your total 12V load within 25A.

Can I charge it in the winter?

Not below freezing. Charging is rated 0°C to 55°C (32°F to 131°F), and there's no internal heater. Let the battery warm above freezing before plugging in.

The battery shut off on its own. What happened?

To protect itself, the battery powers down after 7 days without use above 20% charge, or 24 hours at or below 20%. Press the on/off switch twice to wake it.

How should I store it over the off-season?

Charge to 60–90%, turn the battery off, store it dry between 50°F and 95°F where practical, and check the charge at least every 3 months. Leaving it uncharged for more than 3 months isn't covered by the warranty.

Can I add a second battery for more range?

Yes. Up to two matched batteries in parallel (210Ah / 10.75 kWh), at a similar age, condition, firmware and state of charge. Series connection isn't supported.
