RUiXU SUNON7.2 48V 7.2kW split-phase off-grid solar inverter: a single unit with 120/240V pure sine output, two 4,500 W MPPT solar chargers, a 150 A battery charger and 50 A per-leg grid or generator pass-through. One SUNON7.2 powers both 120V and 240V loads, like well pumps and shop tools, up to 7,200 W with a 10,800 VA peak. It charges your 48V battery from up to 9,000 W of solar, the grid or a generator, can start a generator through its dry contact, and switches to battery in about 10 ms. Parallel up to six units for 43.2 kW. It's certified by Intertek to UL 1741 and CSA C22.2 No. 107.1 as a stand-alone inverter. Backed by RUiXU's 3-year warranty.

⚑ Is It Right for Your System?

Built for 48V off-grid and backup systems that need 120/240V split-phase power. Common uses:

  • Off-grid homes
  • Well pumps & 240V tools
  • Cabins & barns
  • Backup power
  • Shops & workshops
πŸ“ Quick check before you order:
  • Your battery bank is 48V (40–58.6V per RUiXU's manual). It works with LiFePO4, other lithium and lead-acid batteries.
  • Your loads stay within 7,200 W split-phase (30 A per leg), or 6,000 W if you set it up as 120V single-phase.
  • Each solar string stays under 500V open-circuit in cold weather, with an MPPT range of 90–450V and up to 16 A per MPPT.
  • It's an off-grid inverter: it charges from and passes through grid or generator power (50 A per leg), but it doesn't sell power back to the grid.
  • You'll install it indoors (IP20), with clearance for the fans.
  • Closed-loop battery communication: RUiXU's manual lists Pylon, Gotion, Dyness, Pace, Voltronic and EVI protocols, not RUiXU batteries by name. Ask us before you count on closed-loop with a specific battery.
Not sure? Tell us your loads, battery and solar array, and we'll confirm the right inverter before you buy.

❓ Common Questions

Is it one unit or two 3.6 kW units?
One unit. A single SUNON7.2 outputs 120/240V split-phase at 7,200 W. Paralleling more units only adds capacity.
Can it sell power back to the grid?
No. It's certified as a stand-alone inverter. It can charge from and pass through grid or generator power, but it doesn't export to the grid.
Will it talk to my lithium battery?
RUiXU's manual lists closed-loop protocols for Pylon, Gotion, Dyness, Pace, Voltronic and EVI. RUiXU batteries aren't named, so ask us before you plan on closed-loop. It can also run on voltage-based settings.
Can it start my generator?
Yes. A dry contact can start a generator automatically, and it accepts generator power from 40–70 Hz.
Is it UL listed?
Yes. RUiXU posts an Intertek certificate covering the SUNON7.2 to UL 1741 and CSA C22.2 No. 107.1 as a stand-alone (not grid-interactive) inverter.
How does the warranty work?
RUiXU's spec sheet lists 3 years. Warranty claims go through the place of purchase, so contact us and we'll handle it with RUiXU.
