The Victron Energy BMV-710H Smart is an advanced high-voltage battery monitor designed for battery banks operating from 60V to 385V DC. Featuring built-in Bluetooth, VE.Direct communication and an included 500A/50mV precision shunt, the BMV-710H provides detailed real-time information about battery voltage, current, power, state of charge, consumed amp-hours and remaining runtime.

60-385V high-voltage battery monitoring

Unlike battery monitors intended primarily for low-voltage 12V, 24V or 48V systems, the BMV-710H supports high-voltage battery banks from 60V to 385V DC. This makes it an excellent monitoring solution for commercial energy storage, industrial battery systems and other high-voltage DC installations.

Built-in Bluetooth Smart

Integrated Bluetooth Smart provides convenient wireless monitoring and configuration through the VictronConnect app on compatible smartphones and tablets. Users can view important battery information without needing direct physical access to the display.

Available monitoring information includes battery voltage, charge and discharge current, power consumption, amp-hours consumed, state of charge, remaining runtime and historical battery data.

500A/50mV precision shunt included

The BMV-710H includes a 500A/50mV precision shunt for accurate current measurement. The shunt measures current entering and leaving the battery bank, allowing the monitor to calculate energy consumption and remaining battery capacity.

The high-voltage version includes the shunt in a dedicated protective enclosure designed for this type of battery-monitoring application.

Advanced state-of-charge monitoring

The BMV-710H operates as an advanced battery fuel gauge, continuously calculating battery state of charge (SOC) based on measured current and battery operating data. This provides a much more complete view of battery condition than monitoring voltage alone.

Battery capacity can be configured from 1Ah to 9999Ah, allowing the monitor to support a broad range of high-voltage battery-bank sizes.

VE.Direct communication

An integrated VE.Direct communication port allows the BMV-710H to connect with compatible Victron Energy GX devices and monitoring equipment. This makes it suitable for integration into larger Victron power and energy-management systems.

Programmable alarm and relay

The BMV-710H features a programmable visual and audible alarm that can be configured for important battery conditions. A programmable relay output provides additional automation options for system control.

Depending on system design, the relay can be used to trigger compatible external equipment when predefined battery conditions are reached, such as controlling non-critical loads or generator-start functionality.

High-accuracy battery measurements

Precision measurement helps provide dependable battery information for demanding applications. The BMV-710H offers 0.01A current resolution, 0.01V voltage resolution, ±0.4% current accuracy and ±0.3% voltage accuracy.

Flexible flush-mount display

The compact display is designed for flush-mount installation and includes round and square bezel options for greater installation flexibility. The display carries an IP55 protection rating at the front.
