The Victron Energy SmartSolar MPPT RS 450/100-MC4 Solar Charge Controller (MPN SCC145110510) delivers 100A of solar charging for 48V battery systems with ultra-fast Maximum Power Point Tracking, dual independent MPPT inputs, and a 65–450V DC PV input range. With built-in Bluetooth, VE.Can and VE.Direct communication, and an integrated display, this high-voltage MPPT charge controller is built for large off-grid solar, energy storage (ESS), commercial, and industrial installations.

High-Voltage 450V PV Input with Dual MPPT Trackers

The SmartSolar MPPT RS supports PV input voltages from 65V to 450V DC, making it well suited for large series-connected solar arrays. Two independent MPPT trackers optimize energy production from separate solar arrays, and ultra-fast tracking maximizes harvest through changing weather and lighting conditions. Isolated PV connections improve system safety and installation reliability.

100A Charging for 48V Battery Banks

Designed for high-capacity 48V battery systems, the controller delivers up to 100A of charge current. Programmable charging profiles support lithium, AGM, gel, flooded lead-acid, and custom battery parameters, and remote voltage and temperature sensing improves charging accuracy.

Integrated Display and Bluetooth Monitoring

The built-in LCD display shows battery voltage, charging current, PV voltage, system status, and diagnostics directly on the controller. Built-in Bluetooth lets you configure, monitor, and update the controller wirelessly using the VictronConnect app.

VE.Can Networking and Remote Management

VE.Can and VE.Direct communication provide seamless integration with Victron monitoring and control systems. Multiple SmartSolar RS and VE.Can MPPT controllers can be daisy-chained and synchronized for larger installations. Connected to a Cerbo GX or other GX device, the controller supports remote monitoring and management through the Victron VRM platform.

BMS Integration and Rugged Construction

The controller is compatible with the Victron smallBMS and other battery management systems using allow-to-charge signals, and a programmable relay supports custom automation. A heavy-duty metal enclosure with protected connections and active cooling maintains reliable operation during high-output charging.
