One sealed battery replaces your whole lead-acid set, and the kit includes the charger, gauge, 12V converter and cart-specific brackets so you're not hunting for parts.

❓ Common Questions

Can I keep using my old lead-acid charger?
No. Lead-acid chargers won't charge or balance a LiFePO4 battery correctly, and equalization or desulfation modes can damage it. Use the included 48V 15A lithium charger.
How far will I go on a charge?
Epoch estimates 35 to 45+ miles for many standard 48V carts. Hills, passengers, larger tires, lift kits, performance controllers and accessories will lower that.
Will it make my cart faster?
Top speed is set by your motor and controller, not the battery. What you'll notice is steady power that doesn't fade as the battery drains, and a cart that's a lot lighter.
Can I install it myself?
Epoch specifies installation by an authorized mechanic or qualified technician. The kit includes cart-specific brackets and a replacement charge port, and you'll also need to add a main fuse or DC-rated breaker (not included). Call us if you have questions about your cart.
Can I charge it in the winter?
Not below freezing. Charging is rated 0°C to 55°C (32°F to 131°F), and there's no internal heater. Let the battery warm above freezing before plugging in.
Is it waterproof? Can I hose off my cart?
It's IP67, which means dust-tight and protected against temporary immersion (1 m for 30 minutes). Don't submerge it on purpose, and don't pressure-wash it or use solvents.
The battery shut off on its own. What happened?
To protect itself, the battery powers down after 7 days of inactivity above 20% charge, or 24 hours at or below 20%. Press the on/off switch twice to wake it.
Will my 12V lights and radio still work?
Yes. The included 25A 48V-to-12V converter powers your accessories. Keep your total 12V load within 25A.
How should I store it over the off-season?
Store it at 60–90% charge, ideally between 50°F and 95°F, and check the charge at least every 3 months.
Can I add a second battery for more range?
Yes. You can run up to two identical units in parallel (210Ah / 10.75 kWh), matched and at the same state of charge. Series connection isn't supported.
