How is the Eco Series different from Epoch's Essential series?

Eco is the value line: no Bluetooth or internal heater, and a 6-year warranty (3 years free replacement, then 40% off MSRP through year 6).

What size inverter can it run?

The 250A continuous BMS supports about 3,200W at 12.8V before inverter losses. Size by your inverter's DC input current; 750A is only for surges up to 5 seconds.

Can I connect batteries in series or parallel?

Yes. Up to 4 in series and 16 in parallel, using matched batteries charged to the same level.

Can it be used in cold weather?

It can power loads down to -20°C (-4°F), but it has no heater, so charging is blocked below 0°C (32°F).

Does it have Bluetooth?

No. Epoch recommends a shunt-based monitor such as the Victron SmartShunt 500A for an accurate charge reading.

Is it waterproof?

No. It's IP54: dust protected and splash resistant, not submersible.

What charger settings should I use?

Bulk/absorption 14.2–14.4V, float off (or 13.3–13.6V), re-bulk 13.2V, with equalization and temperature compensation off. Up to 157A charging is recommended.

Can it start an engine?

No. It's a deep-cycle battery, not a cranking battery.
