❓ Common Questions

Will it fit my existing battery box?

Usually, yes, in standard Group 24 trays and boxes. Check the tray size, lid and hold-down clearance, and cable and terminal clearance first.

Does it have Bluetooth?

No. For an accurate charge reading, add a shunt-based battery monitor; voltage alone isn't a precise state-of-charge reading for LiFePO4. Epoch's Essential series has Bluetooth built in.

Is it heated for winter use?

No. The BMS blocks charging below 0°C (32°F) but allows discharge down to -20°C (-4°F). Warm a cold battery before charging.

Do I need a special charger?

Yes, one with a LiFePO4 profile, set to the values in the spec table. Turn off lead-acid equalization or desulfation modes.

Can I build a 24V or 36V trolling motor system?

Yes. Up to 4 in series (24V, 36V or 48V) or up to 16 in parallel, using matched, fully charged batteries.

Can it start my boat or vehicle engine?

No. It's a deep-cycle battery without the cranking current engines need.

Is it waterproof?

No. It's IP54: dust protected and splash resistant, not submersible.

How long will it last?

It's rated for 4,500+ cycles. Real-world life depends on depth of discharge, temperature and storage.
