Victron Energy Phoenix Smart IP43 Charger 12/30 (3) 120-240V (PSC123053095): a 12V 30A smart battery charger with 3 isolated outputs, built-in Bluetooth and a VE.Direct port. Charge lead-acid, AGM, gel or LiFePO4 batteries from any 120V or 240V outlet with up to 30 A of adaptive charging. Three isolated outputs each deliver full current to separate battery banks, sharing 30 A in total. Built-in Bluetooth lets you set it up and watch charging in the VictronConnect app, and VE.Smart Networking can use readings from a SmartShunt or Smart Battery Sense for more accurate charging. With no cooling fan it runs silently, and it's backed by Victron's 5-year limited warranty.

⚑ Is It Right for Your System?

Built for 12V battery banks charged from standard 120V or 240V shore, generator or grid power. Common uses:

  • Boats & sailboats
  • RVs & campers
  • Golf carts & utility vehicles
  • Off-grid & backup battery banks
  • Workshops & fleet vehicles
πŸ“ Quick check before you order:
  • Your batteries are 12V. Victron recommends 60–300 Ah for lithium, or at least 120 Ah for lead-acid.
  • You have up to three battery banks of the same type. All three outputs share one charge profile and 30 A in total.
  • You'll plug into a 120V or 240V outlet. The AC cord is sold separately: Victron's NEMA 5-15P cord (ADA010100400) for 120V.
  • You'll mount it somewhere sheltered. IP43 means it resists splashing water, but it isn't built for open decks or direct rain.
  • Plan for battery cables (up to 16 mmΒ² / 6 AWG) and fusing sized for your install (not included).
  • Need UL or CSA for an RV or inspection? Victron doesn't list UL or CSA certification for this charger. Call us and we'll suggest an option.
Not sure? Tell us your batteries and how you'll use the charger, and we'll help you pick the right one before you buy.

Why Choose a Victron Phoenix Smart IP43 Charger

πŸ“±

Bluetooth & Instant Readout

Set charge presets, current limits and features in the free VictronConnect app, and see voltage, current and charge state at a glance with Instant Readout.

πŸ”‹

Adaptive 6-Stage Charging

Bulk, absorption, recondition, float, storage and weekly refresh for lead-acid, or a 3-stage profile for lithium, so batteries are charged fully without overcharging.

πŸ”€

3 Isolated Outputs

Charge three separate banks at once. Each output can deliver the full 30 A, but the total of all three never exceeds 30 A.

πŸ”—

VE.Smart Networking

Pair with a SmartShunt, BMV or Smart Battery Sense to use real battery voltage, current and temperature, or sync up to 10 chargers on one bank.

🀫

Silent, Fanless Design

No cooling fan means quiet charging. Low-current mode cuts output to 15 A for smaller batteries or a limited AC supply.

πŸ›‘οΈ

5-Year Victron Warranty

Victron covers it for 5 years from purchase by the original end user, and warranty claims go through us.

❓ Common Questions

Does it come with a power cord?
No. The charger has an IEC C14 inlet and Victron sells the cord separately: ADA010100400 (NEMA 5-15P) for standard 120V outlets, or ADA010100500 (NEMA 6-15P) for 240V. A retainer clip is included.
Can it charge lithium (LiFePO4) batteries?
Yes. Choose the Li-ion preset (14.2 V absorption, 13.5 V storage, no float). Victron advises against charging lithium below 0Β°C; add a Smart Battery Sense or SmartShunt so the charger knows the battery temperature.
How do the three outputs work?
All three outputs are isolated, so batteries stay separated. Each can deliver the full 30 A, but the combined current never exceeds 30 A. They share one charge profile, so the banks should be the same battery type.
Can I leave it connected all the time?
Yes. After charging it drops to float, then storage mode, and runs a short refresh absorption once a week to keep batteries healthy during long storage.
Is it waterproof?
It's rated IP43, which resists splashing water. Mount it somewhere sheltered, away from open decks and direct rain. For fully exposed locations, look at a Victron IP65 charger.
Is it UL listed?
Victron doesn't list UL or CSA certification for the Smart IP43. It's tested to EN-IEC 60335 safety standards (certificate linked above). If you need a UL-listed charger, call us and we'll suggest an option.
Does it work with a Victron GX device or battery monitor?
Yes. Connect it to a Cerbo GX with a VE.Direct cable for VRM monitoring, and use VE.Smart Networking with a SmartShunt, BMV or Smart Battery Sense for accurate voltage, current and temperature.
How does the warranty work?
Victron covers it for 5 years from the original end user's purchase date. Warranty claims go through the place of purchase, so contact us and we'll handle it with Victron.
