Victron Energy BMV-710H Smart (BAM030710100): a battery monitor for high-voltage battery banks from 60 to 385 VDC, with a 500 A shunt in its own enclosure, a backlit display, Bluetooth and VE.Direct. The BMV-710H brings Victron's accurate battery monitoring to high-voltage DC systems. It shows state of charge, time remaining, voltage, current and power on a backlit display, and the same data, plus history, in the VictronConnect app over built-in Bluetooth. A programmable relay can trigger an alarm or start a generator, and VE.Direct connects it to a GX device for VRM monitoring. It's for systems with a grounded negative. Backed by Victron's 5-year limited warranty.

πŸ”‹ Is It Right for Your System?

Built for high-voltage DC battery banks between 60 and 385 V. Common uses:

  • High-voltage ESS & UPS banks
  • Electric boats
  • Electric vehicles & carts
  • Industrial DC banks
  • Telecom DC plants
πŸ“ Quick check before you order:
  • Your battery bank is between 60 and 385 VDC. For 6.5–70 V banks, choose the BMV-712 Smart or SmartShunt instead.
  • Your system has a grounded negative. Victron notes the H models aren't isolated from the shunt.
  • Your current stays within the 500 A shunt rating, or you'll add a larger shunt (up to 9,999 A).
  • You don't need a midpoint, temperature or starter battery input. The BMV-710H has no aux input.
  • You'll mount the display indoors (the front is IP55) and run the included 10 m RJ12 cable to the shunt.
  • Need UL? Victron doesn't list UL certification for the BMV-710H. Call us if your inspector needs specific paperwork.
Not sure? Tell us your battery voltage and system layout, and we'll confirm the right monitor before you buy.

❓ Common Questions

What's the difference between the BMV-710H and BMV-712 Smart?
The BMV-710H is for high-voltage banks from 60 to 385 V. The BMV-712 Smart is for 6.5–70 V systems and adds an aux input for midpoint, temperature or a starter battery.
Do I need a prescaler?
No. The BMV-710H measures 60–385 VDC directly, and the 500 A shunt is supplied in its own enclosure.
Does it have Bluetooth?
Yes. It's built in, so you can set it up and monitor it in the VictronConnect app without a dongle.
Can it work with a floating (ungrounded) system?
No. Victron notes the H models are for systems with a grounded negative, because the monitor isn't isolated from the shunt.
Can I monitor it remotely?

Is it UL listed?
Victron doesn't list UL certification for the BMV-710H. Call us if your inspector needs specific paperwork.
How does the warranty work?
Victron covers it for 5 years from the original end user's purchase date. Warranty claims go through the place of purchase, so contact us and we'll handle it with Victron.
