Heated, Bluetooth-connected lithium in a standard Group 24 size. The Epoch 12V 105Ah Essential Series stores 1.34kWh, 5Ah more than a typical 100Ah Group 24 battery, in the same footprint. An internal heater lets it charge in freezing weather, and a built-in shunt sends accurate state of charge, current and temperature to your phone. It's a true drop-in upgrade for RVs, boats, trolling motors and solar.

🔧 Will It Fit & Work for You?

A BCI Group 24 battery, so it drops into most Group 24 trays. Popular uses include:

  • RV & camper house power
  • Vans & overlanding
  • Marine house power
  • Trolling motors
  • Ice fishing & sonar
  • Off-grid solar & cabins
  • Home backup, CPAP & small appliances
📏 Quick check before you order:
  • Your tray fits 10.25" L × 6.75" W × 9" H (Group 24), with room for cables and the hold-down.
  • Your load stays within 105A continuous (52.5A recommended for long, steady loads), with up to 200A for 10-second surges.
  • Your charger has a LiFePO4 profile and supplies at least 0.5A so the heater can run in the cold.
  • It's a deep-cycle battery, not for starting engines.
  • Add a properly sized fuse or breaker near the positive terminal.

Why It's Worth the Upgrade

🔥

Charges in the Cold

Below freezing, charging current powers internal heating pads (never your stored energy). Charging starts automatically once the cells reach 5°C (41°F).

📱

Bluetooth With a Built-In Shunt

The free Epoch Li-Ion app shows state of charge, voltage, current and temperature, with no separate battery monitor to buy or wire.

➕

5Ah More, Same Size

105Ah and 1.34kWh in a standard Group 24 case, so you get extra runtime without a bigger tray.

🧠

Smart BMS Protection

Overcharge, over-discharge, over-current, short circuit and temperature protection, plus low-voltage disconnect at 10.0V.

🔁

Expandable

Up to 4 in series for 24V, 36V or 48V trolling motors, or up to 4 in parallel for 420Ah, using matched batteries.

🧰

Zero Maintenance

No watering, no acid, no terminal cleaning. Rated for 4,000+ cycles with 80% capacity remaining.

📦 What's in the Box

  • Epoch 12V 105Ah heated LiFePO4 battery12V 105Ah Heated LiFePO4 Battery (12105A-H)Bluetooth, built-in shunt & internal heater
Sold separately: LiFePO4 charger (the Epoch 12V 15A lithium charger is a good match), Group 24 battery tray, DC-to-DC charger for alternator charging, fuse or DC-rated breaker and cables.

Lithium vs. a Lead-Acid Battery

Epoch 12V 105Ah Heated Typical Lead-Acid
Weight 22.1 lb Often 2–3× heavier
Usable capacity Most of the rated 105Ah About half, to protect battery life
Cold-weather charging Built-in heater Slow & inefficient
Maintenance None Watering & cleaning
Phone monitoring Yes, with built-in shunt No
Warranty 11-year limited Usually 1–2 years

🔌 Charging Made Simple

🔋

Recommended: 50A

Charge at 50A for best results (100A max). Settings for other chargers are in the spec table.

🚫

No Lead-Acid Modes

Use a charger with a LiFePO4 profile. Turn off equalization, desulfation and "repair" modes, and set temperature compensation to 0.

🔥

Cold-Weather Charging

Below 0°C (32°F), a charger supplying at least 0.5A powers the heater. Charging resumes automatically at 5°C (41°F).

🚐

Charging From an Alternator?

Epoch recommends a DC-to-DC charger programmed for LiFePO4 between your alternator and the battery.

❓ Common Questions

Is it a direct replacement for my RV or boat battery?
For most Group 24 trays, yes. Check the tray size, cable clearance, terminal orientation and charger settings first.
Do I need a separate battery monitor?
No. The built-in shunt and Bluetooth send state of charge, voltage, current and temperature to the free Epoch Li-Ion app. The security PIN is on the battery lid.
How does the heater work?
Below 0°C (32°F) the BMS blocks charging. A charger supplying at least 0.5A powers the heating pads using incoming charge current, not stored energy. Charging resumes at 5°C (41°F).
Why 105Ah instead of 100Ah?
You get 5Ah more (1.34kWh total) in the same Group 24 size, which means more runtime from the same tray.
Can I build a 24V or 36V trolling motor system?
Yes. Up to 4 in series (24V, 36V or 48V) or up to 4 in parallel, using matched batteries.
Can I charge it from my alternator?
Epoch strongly recommends a DC-to-DC charger with a LiFePO4 profile between the alternator and battery.
Is it waterproof?
No. It's IP54: dust protected and splash resistant. Don't install it where water collects.
How should I store it?
Charge to about 50%, disconnect loads and chargers, store between 0°C and 35°C (32°F to 95°F), and check it at least every 3 months.
